Billy Idol brings his 2026 tour to Kansas City and St. Louis
One of MTV’s defining rock stars is headed to Missouri in September, bringing “It’s A Nice Day To…Tour Again!” to both sides of the state — and fellow ’80s icon Susanna Hoffs is joining him.
September is shaping up to be a particularly good month for Missouri fans of 1980s music. Billy Idol will bring his “It’s A Nice Day To…Tour Again!” tour to the St. Louis area on September 10 and the Kansas City area just six days later on September 16. Idol’s official website currently confirms both performances.
The St. Louis-area concert takes place Thursday, September 10, at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights. Then, on Wednesday, September 16, Idol heads west for a 7:30 p.m. performance at Morton Amphitheater in Riverside, just outside Kansas City.
And there is an additional reason for ’80s fans to pay attention: Susanna Hoffs is scheduled as the special guest for the Missouri portion of the tour. The pairing puts two performers closely associated with the rise of MTV and ’80s radio on the same bill.
Idol Is Having a Remarkably Busy 2026
The Missouri concerts arrive during a major year for Idol.
His official site is currently promoting the documentary Billy Idol Should Be Dead, which is streaming in the United States on Hulu. The film examines his journey from the punk scene through his transformation into an international rock star during the MTV era and his survival through the excesses and challenges that followed.
Idol also has new music to put alongside the classics. His latest studio album, Dream Into It, was released by Dark Horse Records and features contributions from longtime guitarist Steve Stevens, plus guest appearances by Avril Lavigne, Joan Jett and Alison Mosshart of The Kills. The album reached No. 7 on the U.S. Top Albums chart and No. 4 on the U.S. Current Rock Albums chart.
Before arriving in Missouri, Idol is spending late August and early September in Las Vegas. His five-show “Hot In The City” engagement at Fontainebleau opened August 28 and continues tonight, followed by performances September 2, 4 and 5.

Why ’80s Fans Should Care
Few performers visually and musically embody the MTV era quite like Billy Idol. “White Wedding,” “Rebel Yell,” “Eyes Without a Face,” “Flesh for Fantasy” and “Mony Mony” remain instantly recognizable pieces of ’80s rock radio.
Adding Susanna Hoffs makes these Missouri dates even more appealing. As singer and guitarist with The Bangles, Hoffs helped create another side of the decade’s sound through records including “Manic Monday,” “Walk Like an Egyptian,” “Hazy Shade of Winter” and “Eternal Flame.”
For 80s Music Radio listeners in either Kansas City or St. Louis, this is one September tour worth putting on the calendar.
